Winner, Best Documentary Film

I worked as a writer, producer, director and editor on the documentary film, Next In Wine: Survival & Succession. The film was broadcast on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel in Australia, and was co-produced by Dundas Media and Foxtel Media.

The film won Best Wine Documentary Film at the Wine, Women & Film Festival in California.

About the film:

In the captivating documentary "Next in Wine: Survival and Succession," viewers are invited to experience a remarkable journey through the world of winemaking. The concept of this documentary shines a spotlight on the inspiring story of the 4th generation of the Brown family, a lineage predominantly comprised of women, as they courageously embark on a mission to introduce Tarrango, an innovative new wine, to the market.

Throughout the series, audiences are taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as they follow the highs and lows of the winemaking process, meticulously captured across a year-long span from grape to bottle. The brilliant concept behind this production was developed by the visionary team at Dundas Media, who brought their creative prowess to the forefront.

A truly remarkable feat occurred as the documentary was strategically released on the same day as the Tarrango wine hit the shelves of Dan Murphy stores nationwide. The synergy between the film and the wine was undeniable, leading to an extraordinary accomplishment—the wine completely sold out within the same week, a testament to the documentary's impact and the allure it cast on the audience.

"Next in Wine: Survival and Succession" is more than a documentary; it's an immersive experience that showcases the power of storytelling, innovation, and determination in the world of winemaking. Through the lens of the Brown family and the lens of the camera, this documentary celebrates the legacy, the challenges, and the triumphs that come with passing down the torch to the next generation. It's a tale of resilience, creativity, and the sweet taste of success.
